Location: Various locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area, AB
Salary: $24.34 / Hour
Employment Terms and Conditions: Seasonal, Full Time (40 to 60 hours per week, 8-12 hours per day weather dependent) Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime and Holidays may be required.
Benefits: Dental, Extended Medical, (these benefits are cost shared with the employee paying 50% and the company paying 50% and optional)

Job Requirements
Languages: Basic English
Experience: 3 seasons of relevant experience
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads (up to 23kg (50lbs)). Physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, Walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, work under pressure, fast paced environment, repetitive tasks
Own Tools/Equipment: steel toed boots
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, dusty
Work Setting: Landscape contractor, park and recreation sites, urban area, commercial
Personal Suitability: Reliability, Organized, Team Player, Dependability
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, Tractor, Tractor Mower, Weed Trimmer/edger, lawn mowers, Shovel
Duties
- Spread top soil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of landscape and related structures
- cut grass, rake, fertalize, and water lawns, week gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other duties
- maintenance duties as required by the supervisor
- maintain lawns and grass along road sides
- operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws snow blowers and other landscape maintenance equipment
- spray dust trees, shrubs and lawns and gardens as directed to control insects and weeds
- perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped enviroments
- assist foreman with the tree planting according to planting standards
- assist the foreman with mentoring new workers and safety standards
- may be responsible for ensuring staff meet daily objectives.
