Location: Various locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area, AB

Salary: $29.81 hour ( salary increases per company policy)

Employment Terms and conditions:  seasonal, full time, (40 -60 hrs/week, 8 - 12 hours days, weather dependent), early morning, day, weekend, overtime and holidays may be required.

Benefits: Dental, and Extended Medical ( these benefits are cost shared with the employee paying 50% and the company paying 50% and optional)

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in landscaping and supervisory duties 

Ability to Supervise: 5 – 10 people

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed Safety Boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: 

Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, Ability to distinguish between colours, Large workload, Attention to detail, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Handling heavy loads ( up to 23kg(50lbs))

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, dusty

Work Setting: Landscape contractor, park and recreation sites, urban area, commercial

Personal Suitability: Team player, Initiative, Judgement 

Area of Specialization: Lawn care, Tree service, Grounds maintenance, Landscape construction, Nursery or greenhouse

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Sod cutter, Chain saw, Small engine equipment, Tractor mower


Duties
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance
  • Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule staff
  • Supervise other workers
  • Establish work schedules and procedures
  • Resolve work-related problems
  • Train other workers
  • Perform the same duties as other workers supervised
